First, let’s bust a few vitamin D myths while you are here.
It’s Not The Sun
Despite what all the Vitamin D propaganda tells us, it’s definitely not the sun, because there’s no nutrition is sunrays. Telling people to go outside and stand in the sun to receive vitamin D is preposterous.
Now, I am not saying the sun has nothing to do with vitamin D, because vitamin D does have a little something to do with the sun.
For example, when the sun burns your skin, even only slightly and even unnoticeably, your immune system jumps in and quickly steals the vitamin D from your vitamin D reserves to repair the damage to your skin.
Does this sound like the sun makes vitamin D or rather forces your body to use the vitamin D it already has to repair your damaged skin? I’m going with it forces your body to use the vitamin D it already has, which would actually be the opposite of making anything.
And because most people never hear this, they stay in the sun every day, sometimes all day, and then wonder why they still eventually develop skin cancer.
But I’m sure there’s a dermatologist standing by to blame your genes for you.
Plus you cannot forget that over the last 100 years alone the ozone layer has been severely depleted over many parts of earth, especially since the start of this century, but you can be sure all over the earth the ozone layer is depleted.
